WHAT IS LOVE?
Isit the waiting before or the pining after?...
Does it refer to the feeling you get when you see the woman you love turn the corner and come into view silhouetted against the sky witht he sun shining in the background and you cannot make out which face is burning brighter...
Is it love that makes you duck into a nearby shade to observe her for afew seconds more as she waits impatiently at the point of rendezvous...
though the other half of you is shouting itself hoarse!!!"YOU FOOL WHY ARE YOU DELAYING THIS NOW? YOU WILL LOSE THIRTY SECONDS OF BEING WITH HER!!!"
Or is it the lazily langurously rapturously spreading smile on her face when she glimpses you for the first time ?
The slow hesitant sneaking together and twining of hands that seem softer than down and lighter than feathers and which have been eagerly anticipating this moment for a hundred hours ahead and the mind which will preserve the memory a hundred hours hence!!
(A memory guaranteed to bring the most stupid of smiles to your face!!!!)
Is it the throbbing of the heart, the constriction in the throat or the dryness of the tongue when you speak to her ..
..isit the reddening of your cheek when she smiles at you...
...or the tripping over words in confusion..
...or is it when you get lost in her eyes....
is it the ewaking night or the dreamy days..?
Or is it walking in step and relishing the feeling as if you always knew..that this was how it was meant to be...
Is it the teasing and the laughter ..
..the sudden tear or the abrupt hesitation...
..the hesitating question in her eyes ..
the sudden squeezing of the hands or the urge which makes you want to pamper her out of her mind...
Isit the feeling that makes you tell her 'Listen woman! I LOVEyou! And i will hold your hand in public and if anyone has a problem with that they can speak to me!!!
Isit defined in the moment of parting when you want to stretch it out so thin that time itself no loger exists..
...the world itself no longer exists..
...it is just you and her?
Or is it the feeling of desolation when she has walked away and you can nolonger descry her form in the distance no matter how hard you try.....
Or is love personified in that silly smile?
