1- D

The author’s attitude towards the old school can best be described as:
a. encouraged that it is moving forward in time.
b. concerned that it does not allow new poetry to come up.
c. pleased that the pre-modern era saw some fine poetry.
d. hopeful that it will be replaced by the postmodern poetry.

2- B

The passage highlights the functioning of the repressed
class of poetry. It offers evidence in the form of poetry
which still harks back to the olden times and has no
time for modern poetry.

3 - A

The passage talks continuously of the harking back
into time at the cost of modern poetry, logically the
next passage should talk about the need for revival in
poetry.

4- B

The author is voicing serious doubts about the influence
of old times and the presence of references being made
to the past. The last lines of the passage view Duncan’s
concern with anguish and the lack of space for the new
poetry to come up.
